Gaylussacia mosieri ( English hirsute huckleberry or woolly huckleberry ) is a species of the heather family. It is native to the coastal plains of the southeastern United States ( Louisiana , Mississippi , Alabama , Georgia , Florida ).

Gaylussacia mosieri is a shrub up to 150 centimeters high that occasionally forms small stands. The saplings are covered with reddish hair. The flowers are in groups of 4… 8 and are white or purple. The fruits are black, sweet and juicy. The plant inhabits breaks and swamps.
