Gaylussacia orocola ( English Blue Ridge huckleberry ) is a species of the heather family. It is native to the coastal plains of the southeastern United States ( Louisiana , Mississippi , Alabama , Georgia , Florida ).

Gaylussacia orocola is a shrub up to 100 centimeters high that occasionally forms small stands. The flowers are in groups of 4… 8 and are white. The fruits are black and completely tasteless.
distribution
The species grows in bogs in the mountains of the southern Appalachian Mountains .
