Gaylussacia pulchra is a species of the heather family. It is native to Brazil , namely in the states of Bahia and Minas Gerais in the east of the country.

description

Gaylussacia pulchra is a woody, branched shrub. The leaves are lanceolate, dark green on top and whitish on the underside. The flowers are scarlet, tubular and sit on flower stalks in the leaf axils. The fruits have 10 chambers with one seed each.
