Gebhard Gritsch

Gebhard Gritsch (born December 21, 1956 in Silz (Tyrol) ) is an Austrian competitive sports trainer and consultant. From 2009 to 2017 he was a fitness trainer and advisor to the Serbian tennis player Novak Đoković .

Career

Gritsch studied sports science and sports management at the Universities of Innsbruck and Vienna and obtained his master's degree in 1985. In 1994 Gebhard Gritsch received his doctorate with a dissertation on the subject of "From Talent to Tennis Professional - A Contribution to Optimizing Sports Development in Tennis" at the University of Vienna.

Gebhard Gritsch worked in the field of competitive tennis for 20 years, including working as a national coach in the Philippines and Indonesia . In New Zealand , he worked as the head coach for the Central Region and as a competitive sports advisor to the New Zealand Academy of Sports .

The trade press often saw Gritsch as a key success factor for Novak Đoković's services . In addition to working with Novak Đoković, Gebhard Gritsch creates sports planning for high-performance training centers, sports associations and state sports organizations.
