The Gemeindealpe towers over the Erlaufsee and the Ötschergräben , which separate it from the Ötscher .

On the summit you will find the new Terzer Haus , which was officially opened in June 2014 , a modern, low-energy house . and a transmission system with two transmission towers and one directional radio tower.

The deficit lifts of the Mitterbach mountain railways have been operated by the state of Lower Austria since winter 2011/2012 and have been integrated into the organization of NÖVOG so that they should return to profitability in conjunction with the Mariazellerbahn . In addition, the chairlifts should also be in operation in the summer months.
