The community administration association "Raum Weinsberg" is a community administration association (GVV) in the district of Heilbronn in Baden-Württemberg . Members of the association are the town of Weinsberg and its neighboring communities Eberstadt , Ellhofen and Lehrensteinsfeld ; the seat of the association is Weinsberg. The community administration association takes on numerous tasks for the member communities, either on their behalf for the member communities or on its own responsibility instead of the member communities. For example, he is the sponsor of the neighborhood secondary school in Weinsberg. Other tasks include a. Housekeeping, construction, zoning plan, child and youth work, school social work, social station in the Weinsberg area, community enforcement service, forestry, IT.

The founding of the association was agreed by the members on December 21, 1971, as an alternative to the incorporation of Eberstadt, Ellhofen and Lehrensteinsfeld into the city of Weinsberg as envisaged in the municipal reform target planning of the state of Baden-Württemberg . The agreement came into force on January 1, 1972. The communities Gellmersbach , Grantschen and Wimmental were incorporated into Weinsberg in 1973/75 and thus became part of the association.

The main organ of the association is the association assembly, which meets two to three times a year and has a total of 22 members, including the four mayors and 18 other members who are elected from among their number by the local councils of the member towns. With 11 members, the city of Weinsberg provides exactly half of the members in the association assembly, the other three members the other half (Eberstadt and Ellhofen each four, Lehrensteinsfeld three). This construction ensures that Weinsberg, as the largest member of the association, can neither determine nor be outvoted. Further organs are the board of directors consisting of the four mayors, which is responsible for matters of minor financial dimension, and the chairman of the association (with three deputies). The chairman of the association is currently (June 2008) the mayor of Weinsberg, Stefan Thoma.
