The community administration association Gullen , based in Grünkraut-Gullen, comprises the four communities Bodnegg , Grünkraut , Schlier and Waldburg .

The member communities belong to the district of Ravensburg and are located to the east of the Mittleres Schussental conurbation (around the cities of Ravensburg and Weingarten ) at the transition from Upper Swabia to the West Allgäu .

During the municipal reform in the 1970s, the independence of the four municipalities was retained. In order to ensure efficient administration, various administrative tasks were transferred to the municipal administration association founded by the municipalities in 1972. It acts as the lower building law authority, lower monument protection authority and catering authority. In addition, the association also performs the task of the expert committee and preparatory land-use planning (land use planning) for the member communities.

Organs of the association are the chairman and the association assembly. The mayor of each member municipality is officially a member of the association assembly in accordance with the association's statutes. In addition, each member parish sends two further representatives of the parish council to the association assembly. The association uses the association administration to carry out its tasks.

The association is named after the Grünkrauter district of Gullen, in which it is based due to its central location in the association area.
