List of genealogical databases

The list of genealogical databases includes databases on the Internet in which research results from family research are entered. Other researchers can find out what has already been researched and get in touch if they are interested.

These databases can be subdivided into contact databases in which it is only published who is researching what name, when and where (the specific details must be exchanged in private communication), and result databases with the specific research results, so that one can know whether or not before contact is made you may have common ancestors.

An overview of the possible advantages that setting the data in databases can have:

Remarks

  1. The IDs used for the people and their family trees (e.g. 1219229714) can only be viewed as a snapshot, as they potentially change with each new upload of GEDCOM files. This explains that the said ID on August 6, 2019. "Friedrich TRUMP" (see archive link ), but to "Una Valerie COKER" (see the June 16, 2020 Archive Link pointed).
