Georg-Michael Fleischer (born August 29, 1941 in Berlin ) is a German surgeon.

Life

As the son of a doctor and a nurse, Fleischer attended elementary school from 1948 and the extended secondary school in Wittenberge from 1957 . After graduating from high school, he studied medicine at the University of Rostock from 1960 . Approved as a doctor in 1967 , he completed his surgical training at FW Pötter in Wittenberge. In 1969 he was awarded a Dr. med. PhD. As a specialist and senior physician, he sat in with Peter Heinrich at the Magdeburg Medical Academy . From the beginning of 1979 he worked there as an assistant doctor and senior doctor. In 1984 he returned to Wittenberge as chief physician , and in 1985 he completed his habilitation ( doctorate B ) in Magdeburg. In 1986 he went to the Plauen District Hospital as chief physician (visceral, thoracic and vascular surgery). In 1989, the Magdeburg Medical Academy awarded him the Venia legendi for surgery. After the reunification and peaceful revolution in the GDR he received the license to teach from the medical faculty of the University of Leipzig. She also appointed him private lecturer and, in 1998, professor of surgery. He received special recognition for visceral surgery (1995) and vascular surgery (1996). He retired at the end of 2006. Since 1972 he has dedicated himself to the history of seafaring .

  • Chairman of the supervisory board Seniorenzentrum gGmbH Elsterberg
