Georg Friedrich Konrich

Georg Friedrich Konrich (born May 26, 1879 in Hanover , † July 23, 1955 in Gehrden ) was a German politician ( DHP , DP ) and a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

Konrich attended the Ratsgymnasium in Hanover . He then began studying history and economics in Marburg . In 1902 he became a member of the German-Hanoverian Party . In 1904 he became editor of the Deutsche Volkszeitung (Hannoversche Landeszeitung).

As editor of Hannoverland of the magazine he founded in 1907 at the height of the Heimat movement and published by Emil Geibel , Konrich put it in the first edition of 1907 on page 4 as follows:

“The Heimat movement has a goal that goes far beyond the narrow boundaries of its own tribe: it wants to bring up valiant men for the great fatherland who are devoted to it in holy love, men on whom it can rely in serious times. Because those who stand up for their homeland also step forward when the whole thing is important. "

In the First World War he was a war participant between 1915 and 1918. Until 1934 he was editor and author of political, local history and historical writings.

Public offices

Konrich was elected a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from July 10, 1947 to April 30, 1951 in the first electoral term. During this time he was chairman of the committee for petitions from October 4, 1948 to April 30, 1951. He had belonged to the DP / CDU parliamentary group since March 28, 1951. After 1945, the Lower Saxony State Party (renamed the German Party in 1947 ) succeeded the DHP. Konricht became a DP member.
