Georg Friedrich von Lenz

Georg Friedrich Lenz , von Lenz from 1884 , (born March 17, 1834 in Urach ; † October 3, 1910 in Cannstatt ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Lenz studied from 1851 to 1856 in Tübingen and Heidelberg law . In 1858 he received his doctorate in Tübingen with the thesis on the doctrine of this under Roman law . Then he joined the Württemberg judicial service. From 1858 to 1862 he was at various courts of first instance and between 1863 and 1869 assessor at the civil chamber of the court in Tübingen. From 1869 he was the first public prosecutor at the former district court, from 1879 at the regional court in Stuttgart . In 1886 he was promoted to the Imperial Court Council .

From 1870 to 1884 he was a member of the Württemberg State Parliament for Urach , and from June 1882 also Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies. In 1870 he became a board member of the Chamber Club of the German Party . As a member of the finance commission of the Chamber of Deputies, he was a long-time reporter on the budget of the church and school system.

From 1874 to 1877 and from 1884 to 1886 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Württemberg 5 ( Esslingen , Nürtingen , Kirchheim , Urach ) in the parliamentary group of the National Liberal Party . On May 20, 1886, von Lenz resigned his seat in the Reichstag because of his appointment as chief public prosecutor.
