Georg Heinrich Grimsehl (bailiff)

Georg Heinrich Grimsehl (born June 13, 1794 in Hameln , † June 7, 1867 in Hanover ) was a royal Hanover bailiff and founder of a foundation for charitable purposes.

Life

Georg Heinrich Grimsehl was born at the time of the personal union between Great Britain and Hanover in 1794 in the Electorate of Braunschweig-Lüneburg in the city of Hameln and grew up into the so-called " French era ".

According to the Royal British Hanoverian state calendar for the year 1819 , Georg Heinrich Grimsehl worked as an official assessor with the addition of " supernumerary " in the Ilten office.

Even after the annexation of the Kingdom of Hanover by Prussia , Grimsehl was the official bailiff in Lilienthal in the now Prussian province of Hanover, according to the official gazette printed by Kius in 1868 . However, he died in the previous year on June 7, 1867 in the former royal seat of Hanover.

Grimsehlweg

The name of the Grimsehlweg, which was laid out in the Bothfeld district of Hanover in 1934 , honors the man who, according to the address book of the city of Hanover in 1935, "set up a foundation for charitable purposes."
