The Challengers Cup 2012 was the second edition of the football - cup competition for South Korean club teams of the K3 League . The 18 teams of the K3 League took part in this tournament. The defending champion was Icheon Citizen FC . Icheon Citizen FC won the title.

The cup tournament began on July 28th with the group stage and ended on August 4th, 2012 with the final. The cup was not played afterwards.

All 18 K3 League teams were divided into six groups of 3 teams each. The best two out of two groups and the best team out of 4 groups qualified for the quarter-finals. The winners of the quarter-finals played in the semi-finals for a place in the final. The winner became the 2012 Challengers Cup winner.
