history
Foundation (2007)
After the KFA announced the establishment of the amateur league K3 League, Asan began planning its own franchise. When it later became known that the first season would be played in 2008, the city administration initiated the establishment of the club and registered for the K3 League. The official founding of the association took place in December 2007. Jeong Ji-hun became the club's first coach. In 2008 the club started under the name Asan FC .
Asan Era (2007-2011)
Asan's first season was bad. In the first half of the series you were only a disappointing eighth place, while in the second half of the series you only came in last. The club missed the championship final and cup qualification by far. For the 2009 season, the club was renamed Asan United FC . The second season went better than the previous one. In the first half of the series they placed 12th in the table. The second half of the season ended in a good fifth place, but again they could not qualify for the cup or the championship games. After the season ended, Jeong Ji-hun was released.
For the 2009 season the club renamed itself again. From 2009 to 2011 the club was called Asan Citizen FC . The 2009 season was again very disappointing. The club finished the season in 16th place, with only six points from 32 games. The club could not qualify for the cup again. In 2010 the clubs were divided into two groups. In the group stage, the club finished the league in seventh place out of a total of nine clubs. In 2011, the club even finished last in the group stage. At the end of 2011, the city of Asan announced that it would move the location of the association to Yesan and hand it over to the local administration. In Yesan, the club was called Yesan United FC .
Yesan era (2012)
In Yesan the club could not celebrate any successes either. In the group stage, they were only penultimate and thus again missed the cup and championship qualification. At the end of 2012, the association moved back to Asan and Asans city administration took control of the association again.
Last season and final dissolution (2013-2015)
In Asan the club was again called Asan United FC . Jeong Nam-kil was the trainer in Asan. In 2013 the club finished the group stage in sixth place. At the end of 2013, the club announced itself from the league due to financial difficulties and dissolved the first team. The association continued to exist until 2015. The club finally merged with the K3 League club Cheonan FC and thus finally dissolved.
