Daegu KAPEC FC was a football franchise based in Daegu , South Korea . The club was a K3 League member and founding member of the first season. The association was founded for the Korea Powertrain employees.
history
First years (2004-2006)
The club was founded in 2004 by the Korea Powertrain company. Between 2004 and 2006 they played in various amateur leagues that were not recognized by the KFA.
K3 League time (2007-2008)
After the K3 League was founded, the club joined the amateur association of the KFA and was allowed to participate in the game operations in the first season. For their first season they got a special permit for their home stadium. For the first season they moved to the Daegu Substitute Stadium. Shin Ki-dong was hired as a coach .
In the first half of the season the club reached a remarkable 4th place. The second half of the season didn't go that well - they finished 6th there. The club could not qualify for the championship games of the K3 League. The top scorer of her team was Kim Hwan-su with 9 goals .
The club had to find a suitable stadium for the new season, as the K3 League would not grant any further exemption. Since the club could not find a suitable stadium for their home games, the club was no longer allowed to participate in the K3 League and was excluded. The association then disbanded in 2008.
