Samcheok Shinwoo Electronics was a soccer franchise based in Samcheok , South Korea . The club took part in the K3 League from 2007 to 2010 , before they left the league and disbanded due to financial problems. The club belonged to the Shinwoo Electronics company.

Hwaseong Shinwoo Electronics Era (2007-2008)
Samcheok Shinwoo Electronics was founded in 2006 under the name Hwaseong Shinwoo Electronics FC and joined the K3 League in 2007. In their first season they reached the K3 League league championship thanks to 1st place in the first half of the season. In the semifinals they met Yongin Citizen FC , which they won 1-0 for themselves. In the final, however, they lost 1-0 at home and 2-0 away to Seoul United FC and were only runner-up.
In 2008 they were able to qualify for the league championship again thanks to the first round victory. In the semi-finals of the league championship, they met Gwangju Gwangsan FC this time , which they won 1-0. In the final, they met Yangju Citizen FC . The first leg ended 0-0 away while the second leg ended 2-2 at home. But since the away goal rule existed for the final, Yangju Citizen FC won the league championship and Shinwoo was again only runner-up. In 2008 the club also competed in the Korean FA Cup for the first time . There they met Jeonju EM FC in the first round, which they lost 5-6 on penalties.
Samcheok Shinwoo Electronics Era (2009-2010)
In 2009 the company moved to Samcheok and was renamed Samcheok Shinwoo Electronics FC . In the league, the club disappointed with a 12th place. Also in the cup they were eliminated very early. In the first round they met Cheongju Jikji FC , which they lost 2-2 due to home rights.
In 2010 the club was able to reach the league championship games again. With the 1st place the club won the league. In the league championship they met Yangju Citizen FC first in the semi-finals. They won the game 6-5 on penalties. In the final they faced Gyeongju Citizen FC . The first leg ended with a 0-0 draw. But they lost the away game with 0: 1. The club was again only runner-up. The club did not take part in the cup because they could not qualify for him. The club announced after the season that they would have to split up due to financial problems. The background was that Shinwoo Electronics, the parent company of the association, had financial problems. Because of this problem, the cooperation with the city of Samcheok had to be terminated.
