Samcheok-si Samcheok-si on the map of South Korea.

Samcheok is a city in Gangwon Province. The city on the east coast of South Korea is best known for its limestone caves, of which the Hwanseongul cave is the largest of its kind in Korea. 1.6 kilometers of the 6.4 km long cave were opened to the public in 1997.
