Georg Humbert

Georg Paul Andreas Humbert (born February 10, 1839 in Berlin ; † July 17, 1898 there ) was a German politician .

Life

Born the son of a secret secretary, Humbert studied law in Bonn and Berlin after finishing school at the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Gymnasium in Berlin. During his studies he became a member of the Frankonia fraternity in Bonn in 1857 . After his exams and legal clerkship , he was employed in the Prussian Foreign Ministry in 1866 and employed in the expedition field. In 1869 he became a regular travel agent , in 1872 a legation councilor in the secretariat of the ministry and in 1874 a real legation councilor. There he was in 1880 as a secret legation councilor and in 1881 as a lecturing council, among other things responsible for personal details and active as a treasurer. He also sat on the General Commission on Royal Order Affairs . From 1885 he was Deputy Plenipotentiary of Prussia in the Federal Council . In 1886 he became a Real Secret Legation Councilor and Councilor of the First Class. In 1895 he became Undersecretary of State under Clovis zu Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürst in the Prussian State Ministry . In 1896 he became Real Privy Councilor with the predicate of excellence and honorary member of the German Archaeological Institute .
