Georg Lenhart

Georg Lenhart (born February 8, 1869 in Gernsheim , † October 7, 1941 in Mainz ) was a Hessian politician ( center ) and former member of the Landtag of the People's State of Hesse in the Weimar Republic .

Georg Lenhart was the son of the master baker Heinrich Lenhart and his wife Magdalena nee Wunderle. In 1893 he became a chaplain in Bensheim and in 1894 a teacher at the teachers' college there. In 1900 he was promoted to senior teacher and in 1905 to professor. From 1920 he worked as cathedral capitular and clergyman in Mainz . Until 1925 he was the diocesan president of the Union of Catholic Youth Associations and head of the united Borromeo associations .

Georg Lenhart was a member of the state parliament for three electoral terms from 1919 to 1927.
