Georg Leonhardi

Georg Leonhardi (born December 10, 1807 in Schwanden , † May 4, 1884 in Poschiavo ; resident in Filisur ) was a Swiss Reformed pastor .

Life

Georg Leonhardi, born in Schwanden in the canton of Glarus on December 10, 1807, studied theology at the University of Basel and was accepted into the Evangelical-Rhaetian Synod in Ilanz on June 20, 1830 . This gave him the right to work as a pastor in Graubünden; so he initially took over the community in Saas in Prättigau . Seven years later he took over the parish in Castasegna , which he held until 1840; that year he moved to Azmoos . After six years there, he returned to Graubünden and took over the pastor's position in Poschiavo , before moving to Brusio in 1855 . He held the position there until 1883. The following year he died on May 4th.
