Georg Otto Dietrich König

Georg Otto Dietrich König (also: Georg Otto Diedrich König and Georg Otto König ; * July 10, 1783 in Langlingen , † May 5, 1856 in Schwarmstedt ) was a German Protestant clergyman and superintendent .

Life

Georg Otto Friedrich König won a prize after a competition held by the theological faculty of the University of Göttingen on June 4, 1807 for his sermon, published in 1809 by Dieterich in Göttingen, on the ... difference between a blind faith and a faith without seeing .

He later worked as a deacon in Gifhorn , before working as a pastor in Hainholz near Hanover from 1820 .

From 1832 at the latest, König worked as superintendent in Dransfeld . As such, he published the volumes of his sermons published in Göttingen by Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht on all the gospels and epistles of the church year, for reading aloud in churches and on domestic edification , which received a review in the Jenaische Allgemeine Literatur-Zeitung from June of the same year and the following year 1833 were also discussed in the Leipziger Literatur-Zeitung .
