Georg Otto Heyser

Georg Otto Heyser (born September 22, 1937 in Degimmen (from 1938 Kleindräwen) ; † January 23, 2018 ) was a German dressage rider and trainer.

Life

Georg Otto Heyser, known as "Butzer", grew up with horses in East Prussia. His father bred Trakehner there and trained them. During the Second World War the family fled to the west and built the Brander Hof in Halstenbek . Already at this time Georg Otto Heyser successfully presented horses in dressage tests . Heyser won the German championship three times and was German runner-up twice. In 1975 he passed the riding instructor examination at the Westphalian Riding and Driving School , comparable to the current master of horse management . He was a coach at the Olympic Games in Seoul . In 2009 he was awarded the title of riding master by the German Equestrian Association .

Horses

The black horse Amigo trained by him was ridden by Monica Theodorescu in the German Dressage Derby in 1981 . Amigo was named the best horse.

student

His students were, among others, Olympic champions Hinrich Romeike , Peter Thomsen and Kai Rüder. Hesyser was the trainer of the dressage teams of Mexico, Sweden and Italy.
