Georg Poxleitner (born July 31, 1898 in Freyung ; † May 20, 1964 in Passau ) was a German politician of the NSDAP .

Live and act

After attending primary school in Freyung and high school in Passau (1910-1919), Georg Poxleitner took part in the First World War, in which he was awarded the Iron Cross II. Class and the Front Cross.

After the war, Poxleitner was a member of the Epp Freikorps for a few months before he went to Straubing's teacher training college to complete his training. In 1921 he began to get involved in the NSDAP, in which he successively filled posts as local group leader, speaker and, from 1926 to 1937, as district leader. Following the state examination for teachers, he took a position as an assistant teacher in Neureichenau in 1925 . In 1926 he went to Klafferstrasse as a teacher and then taught in Perlesreut from 1931 to 1933 . From 1929 to 1931 Poxleitner was a member of the Klafferstraß municipal council.

In 1932 Poxleitner was sentenced to three months' imprisonment for an SA appeal. After the National Socialist “ seizure of power ”, Poxleitner was appointed to Passau on June 1, 1933 and promoted to main teacher that same year.

From April 15 to June 1, 1933, Poxleitner officiated as mayor of the market town of Perlesreut and as a member of the district council of Wolfstein . Since May 1933 he was also a member of the district council of Lower Bavaria and Upper Palatinate . He then sat from November 1933 to July 1, 1935 in the district assembly of Vilshofen , where he also temporarily held the mayor's office.

From November 1933 to May 1938 and again from September 1938 to the end of Nazi rule in May 1945, Poxleitner sat in the Reichstag . His second entry into the Reichstag took place in the replacement procedure for the late MP Walter Burghardt . In 1935 he was appointed NGB district officer and district training officer in the Bavarian Ostmark district . In the years 1936 to 1937 he acted as regional group leader of the BDD and as district chairman of the NGB.

Poxleitner was the bearer of the golden party badge of the NSDAP and the Gau-Ehrenzeichen Gau Bayerische Ostmark.
