Georg Reinhold Karl von Lilienfeld (born April 5, 1828 in Neu-Oberpahlen , † October 11, 1881 in Koenhof) was a Baltic state politician , district administrator and land marshal of Livonia .

Life

Georg Reinhold v. L. visited Koick a private school and studied from 1845 to 1849 at the Imperial University of Dorpat Jura . Then he was appointed adjunct to the law enforcement judge and then took over the office of parish judge .

From 1862 he owned the estates of Könhof and Charlottenthal in Livonia. In 1864 he was elected district deputy and developed into a conservative state politician. From 1866 to 11869 he was the Livonian land marshal and tried in vain to prevent the Russian language as the official language in Livonia. From 1869 to 1874 he was Livonian district and Chamberlain at the Russian court, in that time he sought under considerable financial losses to a concession for a railway Riga - Pskov and another stretch of Werro to Tartu .

Origin and family

The noble family von Lilienfeld had settled in the Baltic States since around 1660 . His father was the Livonian district administrator and country marshal Karl Reinhold von Lilienfeld (1791–1876), who was married to Elisabeth von Berg (1805–1832). Georg Reinhold married Jeanette Guillemot de Villebois (1832–1897) in 1854 , her descendants were:
