Georg Steinbrenner

Georg Steinbrenner (born August 28, 1911 in Wiesloch ; † November 11, 1999 ) was a German administrative lawyer and local politician. From 1954 until its dissolution at the end of 1972 he was district administrator of the Baden-Württemberg district of Heidelberg .

Steinbrenner attended high school in Wiesloch from April 1922 . After graduating from high school on March 29, 1931, he studied law at the universities of Heidelberg , Munich and Berlin . In 1935 he passed the trainee exam and then worked for four years as a court trainee. The assessor examination followed in 1939.

He initially worked as an assessor at the Mannheim District Court and was promoted to the Government Council in 1941 . From 1942 to 1945, being called up for military service interrupted his professional career. After his appointment as senior government councilor (1951) and government director (1953), he was elected on December 19, 1953 to succeed Herbert Klotz as district administrator for the district of Heidelberg. Steinbrenner stayed in this office for 19 years until the district was dissolved as part of the Baden-Württemberg municipal reform. He then worked for ten months as the administrator of the newly created Rhein-Neckar district .

In addition to his professional activity, Steinbrenner was involved in numerous associations and organizations. From 1954 to 1982 he served as chairman of the Rhein-Neckar district association of the German Red Cross .

Steinbrenner was married and had two children.
