Stefan Dallinger

Stefan Dallinger (born December 5, 1962 in Heidelberg ) is a German administrative lawyer and politician ( CDU ). Dallinger is the district administrator of the Rhein-Neckar district , has been chairman of the Rhein-Neckar Region Association since 2016 and has been a member of the board of the Future Metropolitan Region Rhine-Neckar Association since 2015.

education and profession

After graduating from high school in Weinheim , Dallinger studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1991 he was appointed to the regional council of Karlsruhe as a consultant for waste law and in 1995 took over the management of the water law office of the Rhein-Neckar district .

Political career

In 1999 he was elected First Mayor of Schwetzingen and was responsible for the main office, the public order office and the building office. In 2002 he ran for the office of Lord Mayor in Weinheim , but was defeated by Heiner Bernhard . From 2006 to 2010 he was the association director of the Rhein-Neckar Region Association and at the same time one of the two managing directors of the regional development company Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar GmbH .

On February 9, 2010, he was elected by the district council to the district administrator of the Rhein-Neckar district and was able to prevail against the then mayor of Sinsheim Rolf Geinert and the mayor of St. Leon-Rot Alexander Eger. On March 13, 2018, Dallinger was re-elected for the next 8 years against an opposing candidate by the Greens .
