Georg Wiesemüller

Georg Wiesemüller (born February 27, 1908 in Heiligenstadt , † August 15, 1970 in Berlin ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1954 to 1958 he was a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR .

Life

Wiesemüller was the seventh child of a postman and lost in the First and Second World War four brothers. He attended high school and in 1931 became a Reichsbahn inspector for the Deutsche Reichsbahn . On May 1, 1937, he joined the NSDAP .

After the war he worked in the administration and as a station master. When parties were re-established in the Soviet occupation zone in 1945, he joined the CDU in Querfurt . He was then from 1949 to 1953 personal assistant to the State Secretary in the Ministry of Transport of the GDR and from 1953 to 1963 personal assistant to the Minister for Post and Telecommunications, Friedrich Burmeister . From 1952 to 1954 he was a member of the District Assembly of Berlin-Treptow and from 1954 to 1958 as a Berlin representative member of the People's Chamber of the GDR . From 1958 until his death he was a member of the Berlin city council and was a member of the permanent commission for transport at the city council. He was also a long-time member of the CDU district board in Berlin and chairman of the economics working group of the CDU district board as well as a member of the Berlin district committee of the National Front and the presidium of the German-French Society of the GDR.

From 1952 he was deputy chairman and from June 29, 1962 chairman of the CDU district association Treptow (successor to Frida Stolzenbach ). In April 1968 he resigned from this position for health reasons and was replaced by Karl Lukits . From 1966 he was a department head with the rank of senior councilor at the Central Office for Advertising of the Deutsche Post , where all self-promotion belonged to his area of ​​expertise.

Wiesemüller died at the age of 62 and was buried in the St. Hedwigs Friedhof in Berlin.
