Georg von Dalberg

Georg von Dalberg , also: Jörg (* 1509 or 1510 ; † May 2, 1561 in Herrnsheim ), was multiple mayor of Oppenheim .

origin

Georg von Dalberg was a son of Wolfgang VI. (* 1473; † 1522), the Electoral Palatinate bailiff in Oppenheim, and his first wife, Agnes von Sickingen .

family

Georg was married twice. First from 1531 with Anna (* 1511; † October 27, 1553, buried in St. Peter in Herrnsheim , today: Worms ), daughter of Bechtold and Elise von Flersheim. On February 7, 1558 he married again, namely Elisabeth Ulner von Dieburg († May 18, 1594, buried in St. Peter in Herrnsheim), daughter of Ulrich Ulner von Dieburg and Margareta von Dalberg, a daughter of Dieter VI. from Dalberg . The mother-in-law was a second cousin of Georg. All children are from his first marriage:

  1. Ursula (* around 1535; † 1599?) Married Franz Friedrich von Liebenstein († 1599) in 1553 .
  2. Wolfgang IX. (* 1536 - † September 17, 1616, buried in St. Peter in Herrnsheim) married Anna on June 14, 1563 (* 1533, before May 26, † May 26, 1606, buried in St. Peter in Herrnsheim), Daughter of Philipp Mühl von Ulmen and Margarete Berkel von Siesberg. Act

Georg von Dalberg was mayor of Oppenheim several times, for example in 1541, 1543, 1550 and 1560, where in addition to his castle in Herrnsheim he also owned the Dalberger Hof and a number of fiefs .
