George of Limburg-Styrum

Count Georg von Limburg-Styrum (* around 1500, † December 14, 1552 ) was a nobleman, by descent Count of Limburg , by inheritance lord of Styrum .

ancestry

Georg was a son of Count Adolf von Limburg-Styrum (* around 1450; † October 20, 1506) and his wife Elisabeth von Reichenstein (* around 1460; † April 30, 1529).

Marriage and offspring

Georg married Countess Irmgard on January 7, 1539 (* around 1505; † May 10, 1587), daughter of Heinrich V von Wisch and Walburg von dem Bergh , widow of Johann VI. Scheiffart von Merode (1509–1537), pledgee of the Liedberg office. The marriage ended in divorce. They had the following children together:

⚭ May 7, 1554 with Countess Maria von Hoya (* April 14, 1534; † December 28, 1612 in Terborg )
⚭ August 21, 1567 in Terborg with Count Werner von Salm-Reifferscheid (* August 17, 1545; † February 16, 1629)
