Georgi Andrejewitsch Buritschenkow ( Russian Георгий Андреевич Буриченков ; * January 21 July / February 2,  1894 greg. In Vladivostok ; † August 27, 1953 in Moscow ) was a Soviet major general . From June 1939 to April 1940 he commanded the newly founded Caspian Red Banner Officers College of the Naval Forces SM Kirov of the Soviet naval fleet in Baku .

Life

Burichenkov joined the Imperial Russian Army in 1915 and graduated from the Kiev Praporschtschik School in 1917 . During the First World War he served with the rank of Podporutschik as a company commander of the 202nd Reserve Infantry Regiment. He was a participant in the Russian Civil War . From February 1918 he fought on the western, eastern and southern fronts on the side of the Red Army, among other things as commissar of the 24th Siberian regiment, commander of the 1st Kostroma Soviet regiment, commander of armed groups of the Kostroma governorate , commander of the 3rd and 4th Rifle Brigade of the 21st Rifle Division and commander of the Omsk - Tyumen district . During the fighting he was wounded twice and was awarded the Order of the Red Banner twice.

In the period between the world wars, Buritschenkow was from June 1922 commander of the 86th rifle regiment of the 29th rifle division, from November adjutant of the commander and from February 1923 commander of the 29th rifle division. From July 1924 he became head and commissioner of the Vladikavkaz command school, then deputy head of the head of the university administration of the Red Army. In 1924 he completed a one-year course and in 1928 two-month courses at the Military Academy of the Red Army .

From September 1937 he was chief and commissioner of the Frunze Sea War School and from September 1938 commander of a group of training ships in the Baltic fleet . From May 1940 he worked in the management for management personnel in the People's Commissariat of the Soviet Navy and from June 1940 as an assistant to the commander of the armed forces of the Kharkiv military district in the field of university issues . From May 1941, Division Commander Buritschenkow was an assistant to the commander of the armed forces of the Odessa military district, responsible for air defense issues and at the same time commander of the Southern Air Defense Zone.

During the Great Patriotic War , he took part in the defense of Odessa as commander of the Southern Air Defense Zone. From July 23, 1941, the administration and the staff of the Southern Air Defense Zone were subordinated to the air defense of the southern front and Buritschenkow was responsible for air defense issues as an assistant to the artillery chief of the front. He was wounded in the Pavlohrad city ​​area . Buritschenkow, who was appointed major general in 1942, was an assistant to the commander of the Central Asian Military District and was responsible for university issues between June 1942 and January 1943 and then became his deputy.

From August 1943, Burichenkov was in custody on unjustified allegations and was released from the Red Army in January 1944. In April 1952, his rank of major general was revoked.

In July 1953 the seriously ill with stomach cancer was released from prison and in August he was rehabilitated by the cadre department of the Soviet Ministry of Defense and rank and honor restored. On August 27, 1953, he died in the Burdenko Military Hospital in Moscow and was buried in the Vvedenskoye Cemetery .
