Gerald A. Straka

Gerald A. Straka (* 1944 ) is a German business educator and teaches as a professor of educational sciences at the Institute for Technology and Education at the University of Bremen .

Life

Straka studied economics and education at the University of Mannheim . After graduating as a business teacher , he worked as a research assistant at the University of Mannheim, the University of Göttingen and the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg . Straka received her doctorate in 1973 from the Faculty of Education at the University of Göttingen . After a call to the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster for a professorship for educational sciences in 1976, he followed the call to the University of Bremen in 1977.

Research and Teaching

The focus of Straka's scientific work relates to learning-teaching-theoretical didactics, self-directed learning , vocational training , media use in old age and the international comparison of pedagogical approaches. Important scientific works are:
