Gerda Steiner (actress)
Gerda Steiner (born March 27, 1953 in Munich ) is a German theater director, folk actor, presenter and singer.
Life
play
Gerda Steiner has been on stage since she was 15. After taking acting and singing lessons, she played at the Lore Bronner stage in Munich, in the traditional “Theater am Platzl” and at various touring theaters. This was followed by roles in comedy nobility and in various TV productions such as “ Tatort ” and “ Police Inspection 1 ”. She gained popularity in the 1980s and 1990s, especially on theater tours and television recordings with Peter Steiner's Theaterstadl . She achieved particular popularity in several plays as a “naive country girl”. Due to the success, she also filled this role in the RTL series Zum Stanglwirt . Together with her stage partner Erich Seyfried , she became a humorous audience favorite in both formats. In 2017 and 2018 Gerda Steiner was the producer of "Rock'n Roll in the Evening Red" and "Odel obliged" for the BR series "Der Komödienstadel", as well as for the play "Hotel Mama" as part of the home stage of the BR.
Theater management
As early as 1985, her father Peter Steiner made her head of the “Theaterstadl”. Since 2012 - from 2014 as Steiner's Theater - the Bavarian Comedy - she has been guesting with her ensemble and well-known colleagues such as Christiane Blumhoff or Hans-Jürgen Bäumler on numerous stages in German-speaking countries.
Moderation
In 1992 she and her father presented the RTL program “Die Heimatmelodie”, in which she welcomed musicians from the folk industry, German-speaking artists such as Freddy Quinn and Dieter Thomas Heck , but also international stars such as Andrea Bocelli . Between the music contributions, she and her guests created humorous scenes in small sketches. She also presented musical programs on concert tour, similar to her TV show.

Gerda Steiner's first musical publications appeared in the 1970s. By adopting the “Heimatmelodie” in the 1990s, several duets with father Peter were created for the TV show. These recordings were released on CD and MC in 1993 and 1994. Her first solo CD “Neue Ways” was released in 2012.
Private
Steiner is the mother of one son. Her mother is the actress Gerda Steiner-Paltzer , her younger brother Peter Steiner junior was also an actor.
