Gerhard Fickel
Gerhard Fickel (born March 18, 1920 in Köppelsdorf ; † August 16, 1990 in Jena ) was a German pulmonologist . He was a member of the People's Chamber ( CDU ).
Life
The son of a craftsman attended elementary school in Köppelsdorf and high school in Sonneberg . On September 1, 1938, Fickel became a member of the NSDAP . From 1939 to 1945 he studied medicine at the Universities of Würzburg and Heidelberg (interrupted several times by military service). In 1945 he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD.
After the end of the Second World War he became a member of the newly founded CDU of the Soviet occupation zone . From 1945 to 1947 he was an assistant doctor at the Sonneberg District Hospital. From 1947 to 1950 he trained as a specialist in lung diseases in Bad Berka . From 1950 he was chief physician at the Tbc sanatorium Weißeneck-Weißenburg-Etzelbach , Rudolstadt district. From 1954 to 1958 he was a member of the Rudolstadt District Council and at the same time until 1956 a member of the Rudolstadt District Executive of the CDU. From 1956 to 1958 he was a member of the Gera district board and since 1972 a member of the main board of the CDU. He represented them from 1958 to 1967 as a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR in the 3rd and 4th electoral periods. Most recently, he was chief physician at the Rudolstadt Polyclinic .
