Gerhard Goll

Gerhard Goll (born June 18, 1942 in Stuttgart ) is a German lawyer , politician ( CDU ) and business manager .

After graduating from high school in 1961, Goll studied law at the universities of Tübingen and Freiburg , where he was also a university assistant. In 1967 and 1970 he passed his state exams. He was then a judge at the Stuttgart Regional Court . In 1972 he moved to the state administration and was initially at the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Culture , from 1975 at the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Finance , where he became head of the central office from 1976 and of the general department of the budget department in 1977. In 1978, Prime Minister Hans Filbinger brought him to the State Ministrywhere he held various managerial positions. In 1980 Goll became managing director of the CDU parliamentary group in the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , which was led by Erwin Teufel at the time.

In 1982 Goll switched to the private sector and joined the Landeskreditbank Baden-Württemberg , where he was promoted to the board of directors until 1984 and later also became deputy chief executive officer.

In January 1991, Prime Minister Erwin Teufel , who was elected to succeed Lothar Späth , brought Goll into his cabinet as an honorary councilor with voting rights in the state government.

In 1993 Goll became CEO of Badenwerk AG in Karlsruhe , which on January 1, 1997 merged with Energie -versorgung Schwaben AG (EVS) to form 'Energie Baden-Württemberg AG' ( EnBW ). Goll then also headed EnBW as CEO. After his term of office expired in May 2003, he was no longer available for another term. His successor was Utz Claassen . Claassen accused Goll of having beautified EnBW's financial situation.

In March 2008, Goll became a lecturer at Karlshochschule International University , and later became chairman of the foundation's board of directors.

Goll is married and has two children. He is a member of the Tübingen Wingolf student association .
