Life

Gerhard Jung grew up in the Wiesental . His father, a Franconian named Karl, was a veterinarian and his mother Hermine was a housewife. He had three siblings. As bailiff was his duty to carry out the training of middle and senior postal service. He was also a member of the board of numerous associations and, last but not least, a motor and advisor. After his retirement he devoted himself entirely to his passion, writing. Strongly shaped by the war years, peace and reconciliation were among the focus of his texts. One of his most famous works is the book "Bettmümpfeli", the seventh edition of which reached 35,000 copies. For Gerhard Jung, the focus was always on "being able to create a home for people".
