Gerhard Klimeck
Gerhard Klimeck (born March 15, 1966 in Essen ) is a German-American scientist, university professor, specialist book author in the field of molecular nanotechnology and electrical engineering.

Youth and education
After graduating from the Carl-Humann-Gymnasium in Essen, he began studying at the Ruhr University Bochum (RUB) in 1985 . In 1988 he traveled to Indiana as an exchange student ( Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung ) and studied at Purdue University in West Lafayette , at the chair of Prof. Supriyo Datta. Working, researching, teaching
Gerhard Klimeck is head of the Nanoelectronic Modeling Group and has been a professor for electrical engineering and computer science at Purdue University since December 2003. Since May 2009 he has been a director at the National Science Foundation Network for Computational Nanotechnology (NCN) . He participated for at NASA at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) of the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the American Physical Society (APS).
