Gerhard Ruby (born June 9, 1960 in Mönchzell ) is a German specialist lawyer for inheritance law and specialist book author . He introduced the so-called " Inheritance Law Days " in Germany - events that provide information on inheritance law and inheritance tax law without legal German. He is head of the Baden-Württemberg section and the Academy of Inheritance Law in the German Forum for Inheritance Law .

Act

Ruby heads the Baden-Württemberg section of the German Forum for Inheritance Law and founded the inheritance Academy Baden-Wuerttemberg, which informed with weekly sessions on inheritance law and inheritance tax law. He invented the so-called inheritance law days , which were held for the first time in 1998 in Villingen-Schwenningen . The Inheritance Law Days have become a trademark for the German Forum for Inheritance Law . Many hundreds of such days of inheritance law have been and are being carried out by the forum nationwide. Its aim is to provide understandable information to the population about inheritance law and inheritance tax law.

Ruby is a scientific adviser to the two journals ZEV and ZErb . He has been publishing specialist articles on inheritance law issues in these and other journals for many years.

He is the author or co-author of various works on inheritance law, such as B. the practical handbook inheritance law advice from Otto Schmidt Verlag, the process form book inheritance law from  Verlag CH Beck , the handbook inheritance law from Erich Schmidt Verlag, the “gray commentary on inheritance law” (Burandt / Rojahn) and online commentary from Beck Verlag and the books "Disabled Testament" in the ZErb-Verlag and "Erbenhaftung" in the publisher of the German Forum for Inheritance Law .

Ruby holds u. a. Lectures at the "Inheritance Law Days" of the German Forum for Inheritance Law eV and the Inheritance Law Academy. Since 2000 there have been over 600 events. He was a guest on radio and television stations on the subject of inheritance law and inheritance tax (such as "Recht brisant" ( 3sat ), "ARD-Ratgeber Recht" ( ARD ), "Kaffee oder Tee" ( SWR ), "Info-Markt") (SWR), “SWR1 people” (SWR) or at the ZEV annual meetings as a talk guest when discussing the latest judgments on inheritance law).

Ruby is  ranked among the leading inheritance lawyers in Germany by  Wirtschaftswoche  (2019 and 2009) and the news magazine  Focus (2000 to 2020) in their ranking lists. He is a lecturer in inheritance law and inheritance tax law in the training of lawyers, judges and notaries nationwide.

The Ruby law firm has offices in Villingen-Schwenningen , Konstanz , Rottweil and Radolfzell in Baden-Württemberg .

Inheritance Law Academy Baden-Württemberg

The Inheritance Law Academy founded by Ruby as a subdivision of the German Forum for Inheritance Law provides information in Baden-Württemberg on inheritance law and inheritance tax issues. It has a fixed annual program and works with church institutions and senior citizens' organizations. One lecture is given every week throughout Baden-Württemberg. Fixed academy locations are Konstanz, Singen, Villingen-Schwenningen and Rottweil. The lectures are free for non-profit organizers.
