Aube is a French commune with 1,298 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Orne in the region of Normandy . It belongs to the arrondissement of Mortagne-au-Perche and the canton of Rai (until 2015: canton of L'Aigle-Ouest ). The inhabitants are called Albins .

Aube lies on the Risle , which also forms the northern municipal boundary. Aube is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Rai in the north and northeast, Écorcei in the east and southeast, Brethel in the south, Le Ménil-Bérard in the south and southwest, Saint-Hilaire-sur-Risle in the west and Beaufai in the northwest.
