Écorcei is a French municipality with 390 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Orne in the region of Normandy . It belongs to the arrondissement of Mortagne-au-Perche and the canton of Rai (until 2015: canton of L'Aigle-Ouest ). The inhabitants are called Écorceiens .
geography
Écorcei is about 50 kilometers northwest of Chartres . Écorcei is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Rai in the north, L'Aigle in the north-east, La Chapelle-Viel in the east and south-east, Les Aspres in the south and south-east, Auguaise in the south and south-west, Brethel in the west and Aube in the north-west.
