Hell-O-Matic is an alternative metal band from Fulda .
history
The band was founded in 2013 by the photographer and former Cancer Barrack bassist Thomas van de Scheck , the Dark Reflections guitarist Heikkinen and Johnny E. and Mike Berserk. The Lorz joined in 2014 as a keyboardist. In the same year a first album was recorded in the Hamburg Chameleon studio and produced by Eike O. Freese and Benjamin Lawrenz. The self-titled album Hell-O-Matic was released in 2015 and received praise from the press and critics. The label Danse Macabre took over the distribution . Shortly thereafter, the album entered the DAC charts and a music video was released for the title Hedonistic Cheerleaders . Before the album was released, Johnny E. left the band for professional reasons and was replaced by Marx 6. In 2016, Hell-O-Matic accompanied Megaherz as the opening act on the Erdwärts tour . Drummer Mike Berserk left Hell-O-Matic due to time constraints and was replaced as tour drummer by Markus "Big M" Corby, who already plays with Paragon and currently bassist with Beaver Patrol . After the tour, Hagen Fi77, who was already known as the drummer for the Celtic metal band Minotaurus , took over the position. In 2016 Hell-O-Matic was signed by the music publisher Enorm-Music.
In 2017 Hell-O-Matic played for the first time at the Wacken Open Air and produced the second album What An Excellent Day For An Exorcism with Eike O. Freese . In 2018, Marx 6 and Hagen Fi77 left the band due to irreconcilable differences of opinion, and Heikkinen for personal reasons and were replaced by TIMzer0 ( Straight From Hell ), Danny D. Anger ( Mercury Falling ) and Maic Pain (Mercury Falling). In this line-up, Hell-O-Matic played together for the first time at the Wacken Winter Nights 2018. At the end of 2018, Danny D. Anger and Maic Pain left Hell-O-Matic for scheduling reasons and were replaced by HiGo-13 (Straight From Hell, Zero G ) as bassist and Phill Thrill ( The Matter Of China , Asinis ) as drummer. In addition, the singer SINtana was accepted into the band. In March 2019 Light-O-Matic was a contract with MiG Music by Manfred Schütz one.
style
Hell-O-Matic names musical influences in hard rock of the 1970s, rock 'n' roll , industrial metal and country . They call their style "Scary Metal". Reviews compare the group to Marilyn Manson and White Zombie . With their musical mix, reviewers follow the tradition of groove and alternative metal received in the black scene in the 1990s. The guitar playing is compared with bands of groove and industrial metal such as the Krupps , Ministry and KMFDM and emphasized as particularly riff-oriented . The rhythm is also described as particularly grooving and pumping.
