Mercury Falling is a melodic power metal band with progressive influences from Germany.

history

The band was founded in 1997 by the brothers Tobias Galmarini and Daniel Galmarini. In 1998 the first demo of the band Impressions of a dream was recorded by Mekong Delta guitarist Erik Grösch. In 2003 the full-length album "Panta Rhei" was produced. The band was supported by the then frameless drummer Dirk Oechsle and Dr. Death bassist Stefan Quast. Edguy guitarist Jens Ludwig directed the recordings in the Rhön Records studio. Appearances with Mystic Prophecy , Freedom Call and Skyclad followed . In 2006 the album was named "Demo of the Month" by Metal Hammer magazine . In 2006 the recordings for the album Human Nature began. It was produced by Piet Sielck ( Blind Guardian , Iron Savior ). The band then played appearances with Mercenary , Sons of Seasons , Torture Squad . In 2011, the recordings for the follow-up album Into the Void began. Jens Ludwig (Edguy) took over the recording management for guitar, bass and drums. Piet Sielck again agreed to record the vocals in Hamburg and to mix the CD. In 2012 there was a record deal with Phonotraxx, the label around frontman Bernhard Weiß and keyboardist Harry Oellers of the band Axxis . At the end of 2012, Mercury Falling toured as a supporter with Axxis on their reDISCOver (ed) tour. In 2014 the recordings for the next album Introspection began.

In 2016 the band signed with the record label and distributor ZYX , who distribute the album worldwide. In 2017 the first single of the album "Of Sinners & Saints" was released on the "Symphonic & Opera Metal Vol.3" compilation of the distributor.
