In November 2006 the EP Chaos Corporation was released , the two new songs Chaos Corporation and The Beast Within , as well as three more songs that came from the demo A Soul in Hell . In June 2007 the band was chosen through a metal battle to play at the Wacken Open Air in August. At the festival, the band took part in another metal battle, which the band also won. As a result, the group reached a contract with Wacken Records , about which the album Hellbound was released in 2008 . In January 2008 Mauricio Nogueira left the band and was replaced by the guitarist Augusto Lopes. In the same year the group held a European tour that included 60 gigs, including another appearance at Wacken Open Air. Another tour of Europe took place in 2009, where the band played with Overkill and Exodus . The band began in London in February and completed twelve gigs in Spain , Germany, the Netherlands , Switzerland and the Czech Republic . The last appearance took place in the Czech Republic together with Soulfly , where Max Cavalera invited Vitor Rodrigues to sing the Sepultura song Roots Bloody Roots with him. The band also plays at the SWR Barroselas Metalfest in Portugal , which took place April 30th to May 2nd, 2009. As a bonus, a newly recorded version of the song The Unholy Spell could be heard under the title The Unholy Spell 2010 . The album was recorded in São Paulo at Norcal Studios under the direction of Brendan Duffey and Adriano Daga .

In January 2011, guitarist Augusto Lopes left the band and was replaced by André Evaristo. Further concerts in Brazil followed until July. A month later, the band went on a tour of Brazil, which included a third appearance at Wacken Open Air. The tour included over 40 performances in twelve countries and lasted until the end of October. On July 31, Amílcar Christófaro helped Sepultura at a performance in France as a drummer, as Jean Dolabella was absent due to tendonitis . Both bands had previously played together at two festivals. The band then played in São Paulo with Overkill and then at the Quebramar Festival in Macapá . In June the band played with Annihilator in Brazil. In the same year, the concept album Esquadrão de Tortura was released . The politically oriented album was released on the Brazilian Republic Day .

style

According to the band's biography on torturesquad.net , the band's concept album Esquadrão de Tortura thematized the military regime of Brazil from 1964 to 1985. According to laut.de , the band played crossovers in the style of DRI and The Accüsed . On Asylum of Shadows the band play a mixture of Thrash and Death Metal. According to Marc Halupczok from Metal Hammer , the band on Hellbound plays "incredibly fast Thrash Metal that rarely degenerates into fast stick orgies". Similar to Legion of the Damned , the melodies would only reveal themselves after several runs. Due to the poor production, however, the work does not come close to the works of Legion of the Damned. In his review of Equilibrium , Thomas Strater from Metal Hammer stated that the band remembered the death metal band Benediction on their first albums . Now only the growls are left. He compared the singing with that of Mille Petrozza from Kreator, whereby the lyrics are often too simple, as in the early works of Sepultura. The riffs in the song Holiday in Abu Ghraib are comparable to those of the death metal band Vader .
