Beaufai is a French municipality with 342 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Orne in the region of Normandy . It belongs to the arrondissement of Mortagne-au-Perche and the canton of Rai (until 2015: canton of L'Aigle-Ouest ). The inhabitants are called Beaufaiens .

geography

Beaufai is located about 55 kilometers northwest of Chartres on the Risle , which forms the southern municipal boundary. Beaufai is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Gauville in the north and northeast, Saint-Symphorien-des-Bruyères in the northeast, Rai in the east, Aube in the southeast, Saint-Hilaire-sur-Risle in the south, and Saint-Pierre-des-Loges in the west as well Saint-Evroult-Notre-Dame-du-Bois in the north-west.
