La Mesnière is a French municipality with 451 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Orne in the region of Normandy ; it is part of the arrondissement of Mortagne-au-Perche and the canton of Mortagne-au-Perche (until 2015: Canton of Bazoches-sur-Hoëne ). The inhabitants are called Mesnérois .

La Mesnière is located about 30 kilometers east-northeast of Alençon on the Sarthe , which borders the municipality in the northwest. La Mesnière is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bazoches-sur-Hoëne in the north and east, Boëcé in the east, Courgeoût in the east and south-east, Coulimer in the south and south-east, Saint-Quentin-de-Blavou in the south and south-west, Buré in the west and south-west , Coulonges-sur-Sarthe in the west and Bures in the northwest.

Route nationale 12 runs through the south of the municipality .
