Ceton is a French commune with 1,785 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Orne in the region of Normandy . It belongs administratively to the Arrondissement of Mortagne-au-Perche and is the capital of the canton of the same name, Ceton (until 2015 part of the canton of Le Theil ). The inhabitants are called Cetonnais .

geography

Cetone is the southernmost municipality in the Orne department. It is on the edge of Normandy on the Braye River . Ceton is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mâle in the north, Les Étilleux in the east, Saint-Bomer in the southeast, Théligny in the south, Cormes in the southwest, Cherré-Au with Cherreau in the west and southwest, Avezé in the west and Le Theil in the northwest.
