Logo of the Dutch Railway Company designed by Dumbar

Studio Dumar works as a design office and focuses primarily on creating many "iconic corporate identity systems" for clients such as Dutch Post and Telecommunications, Dutch Railways, Dutch Police , Danish Post and Czech Telecom. The Dutch Railways logo he designed is still in use today. It was part of a revitalization effort by the company in the 1960s. At the same time, a new image should be created, reflecting the change towards a new, more modern identity and renewing interest in the Dutch rail system. The Dutch Railways campaign introduced “new trains, improved routes and intercity services”. According to Studio Dumbar, the railway logo represents the arriving and departing trains in the arrows, the few parallel lines show the train tracks.

Another, equally iconic design by Dumbar is the logo of the then newly reunited Dutch National Police. The stripe design won several awards. It can be found on police cruisers, boats, rescue vehicles, helicopters and motorcycles. This design, commissioned in 1992, is still in use today; it is supposed to symbolize the merger of the former state police and the city police.

In 2002 he designed the Indian Monument in The Hague as a participant in the Indonesian War of Independence .
