Gertrud Leutenegger

Gertrud Leutenegger (born December 7, 1948 in Schwyz ) is a Swiss German-language writer .

Life

Gertrud Leutenegger grew up in Schwyz, but later also lived in French and Italian-speaking Switzerland. She studied directing at the Zurich Acting Academy and in 1978 worked as assistant director Jürgen Flimms at the Hamburger Schauspielhaus . After numerous trips and stays in Florence and Berlin , the author lived in Japan for a long time. Today Leutenegger lives in Zurich. In 2010 she was appointed to the German Academy for Language and Poetry in Darmstadt.
