Society for the Promotion of Economics and Ethics

The Society for the Promotion of Economics and Ethics e. V. , GWE for short , is a German science society that was founded in 1988 by a group of scientists and entrepreneurs. Until 2017, the founder and chairman of GWE was Professor of Economic Policy and Development Policy at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg , Werner Lachmann . Since then, the company has been led by Christian Müller . The GWE is based in Mainz .

According to its statutes, the GWE aims to "promote research and teaching in economics (economics, business administration, development policy, etc.) in conjunction with ethics based on the biblical view of the world and man." It was founded in 2013 by K. Farmer and H. The magazine has been an online publication since its first year in 2013. Years 3 (2015) and 4 (2016) were also published in a print version by Verlag Bautz . The De Gruyter publishing house has been responsible for online and print publications since Volume 5 (2017) .
