Gestamp is a Spanish metal processor who specializes in forming technology , especially hot forming . The main customer is the automotive industry . Around 32,000 employees work for the company at 101 production sites worldwide.
In 1958 Francisco Riberas Pampliega founded the metalworking company Gonvarri. In 1997 Gestamp was founded. In July 2011, ThyssenKrupp (ThyssenKrupp Metal Forming / TKMF) took over Umformtechnik .
ArcelorMittal owns 35% of the shares in Gestamp Automoción , 65% of Grupo Gestamp, which is owned by the Ribera family's Gonvarri SL holding.
In 2011 the first locations were opened in Russia ( Tolyatti and Kaluga ).
