Get Lucky (English for. " Get Happy ") is the sixth solo album of the British musician Mark Knopfler . It was released in Europe on September 14, 2009.

background

The album was recorded at Knopfler's own studios, British Grove Studios in London, and released in Europe on September 14th. In Germany, the album, like its predecessor Kill to Get Crimson , reached number 2 in the album charts. Knopfler was supported on his album by many musicians with whom he had already worked on previous albums. On his sixth solo album, too, Knopfler stays true to his style and incorporates some folk and blues elements. Thematically, the album offers a broad spectrum. From the life of a truck driver in Border Reiver to his deceased uncle in Piper to the End to the tribute to the guitar maker Monteleone . The first single from the album is Border Reiver and is reminiscent of a Scottish folk song.
